On September 22, at 16:30, in Abovyan regional office of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the reopening ceremony of Abovyan and Ashtarak regional offices of the RA's State Probation Service was held.

Within the framework of the "Improvement of Conditions of Probation Institutions in Armenia" program, "Eurasia" CPO, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Armenia, implemented a renovation program funded by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The amount of funding for the project is 17,700 Euro.

Within the framework of the project, the State Probation Service’s Abovyan and Ashtark regional offices have been capitally renovated, rehabilitation program spaces have been created, separate psychological room was designed for the individual psychological works with beneficiaries.

The ceremony was attended by the First Councellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in RA Mr. Krzysztof Bartczak, General Director of “Eurasia” CPO Liana Yesayan, Head of Department of Criminal Law, Penitentiary and Probation Policy Development of the Ministry of Justice of RA Mrs. Arpine Sargsyan, Head of Service of State Probation Service Gevorg Simonyan and others.

The project aims to contribute to the reintegration of about 350 beneficiaries of the Probation Service of Armenia in the society, promote to the implementation of rehabilitation and training programs, thus increasing beneficiaries’ skills and capacities and decreasing the risk of reoffending.
