Eurasia Charity Public Organization was registered and has been functioning since 1997

History:

In 1991, Armenia declared its independence. The ensuing years were a serious test for the young independent republic. Our country survived an energetic crisis and economic blockade. These and a number of other factors had a disastrous effect upon the social-economic state of Armenia.
Beginning from 1995, the situation gradually started to improve. However, there was still much to do for the rehabilitation and further development of the republic.
Being true patriots, and urged by the desire to see Armenia a prosperous and developing country, the founders of our organization united their efforts and in 1997 created the “Eurasia” Charity Public Organization.

The Mission:

The mission of the organization is to protect and improve the environment, protect the population from the harmful effects of environmental pollution, organize various assistance to children, helpless elderly people, socially vulnerable families, promote sustainable tourism development in Armenia and the activation of investment flows in the mentioned area.

The Structure of the Organization:

The organization has 8 full time employees, 38 volunteers from different regions of Armenia (Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Shirak, Armavir, Lori). For certain projects “Eurasia” CPO has highly qualified contact experts-economists, biologists, engineers, renewable energy sector specialists and etc, who show support in project writing and developing.
The managing body of the NGO is the Council, which is elected at the General Assembly. The General Assembly is summoned once a year.

“Eurasia” CPO    –    is closely collaborating with local state and governmental institutions and international organizations such as the Government of Armenia, Ministry of Nature Protection, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of the RA, the Municipality of Yerevan City, The Municipalities of Aragatsotn, Shirak, Kotayk, Lori regions, National Academy of Sciences of the RA, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies, Youth Fund of Armenia, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Armenia, the Embassy of Japan to Armenia, USDA, SPANA, Montana Spay/Neuter Task Force, WSPA, ESPACES, “Ecological Academy” NGO,  UNAVISION, GEN and etc.
