On November 18, the closing ceremony of the project "Disability as a Challenge in Lori Marz" took place in Vanadzor.
The project was implemented with the joint efforts of the Polish Embassy in Armenia and “Eurasia” CPO within the framework of the Polish Aid Development Program.
Within the framework of the project, 4–5 month training for women with disabilities was organized to protect the right of women with disabilities to work, to facilitate their access to the labor market, to include the social sphere as a working resource and to improve their livelihoods. The project participants were women with disabilities from Vanadzor (with 3rd and 2nd degree disability) who received not only relevant knowledge and skills, legal support, but also equipment and supplies to pursue their own activities.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Pavel Cepliak, General director of “Eurasia” CPO Liana Yesayan, Deputy Governor of Lori region Gayane Markosyan, the head of Vanadzor city Mamikon Aslanyan, Director of Vanadzor territorial employment center Ara Arakelyan, Director of the Regional State College Tigran Tadevosyan and others.
