03.04.2024
Within the framework of “Strengthening local self-governmental leadership towards improving social entrepreneurship in rural regions of RA” project Syuzanna Kharatyan has received grant support to establish an entertainment park next to the “OTEVAN” guest house. Syuzanna edtablished the “OTEVAN” family guest house in 2015 in Dsegh by the support of USAID program. In the beginning, guests were provided with only an overnight service, but in the following years, the services were expanded providing guests with rural food service, which is organized by products of their own and organic products produced by fellow villagers. The guest house provides Chechil-cheese cooking master classes and also provides guide services to historical and cultural places. However, for many years the area adjacent to the guesthouse lacked suitable conditions for interesting entertainment for guests. For completely organizing the entertainment of the guests an idea was born in Syuzanna Kharatyan's mind to establish an entertainment park next to the guest house. Syuzanna Kharatyan's business idea became one of the 4 winning projects. Within the framework of the funded program, Syuzanna Khratyan was able to establish an entertainment park next to the guest house, set up a playground by obtaining slides, swings and organize traditional Armenian games and games invented by Tumanyan. Within the framework of the 8-month program supported by the “Eurasia” CPO and the Polish Solidarity Fund Syuzanna Kharatyan and other participants had the opportunity to develop and present their own business programs with the help and advice of leading experts of the sphere. An important component of the program was also the presentation of the idea of social entrepreneurship to the participants and the emphasis that businesses, in addition to personal profit, can significantly help other residents of the community as well.
