On November 20, 2023 the closing ceremony of the project “Strengthening local self-governmental leadership towards improving social entrepreneurship in rural regions of RA” took place. The event was attended by General director of "Eurasia" CPO Liana Yesayan, the deputy governor of Lori region Gor Asryan, the representative of "Solidarity Fund" Anna Radecka, the head of Pambak enlargement community Suren Kostandyan, the head of Tumanyan enlargement community Suren Tumanyan, administrative heads of settlements, project participants and others. The goal of the project was to continue supporting the development of the capacities of local self-government bodies and representatives of the business sector of Lori region, promoting the further deepening of the consolidation process between the main actors of civil society. Through the project, these two actors of the community were given the opportunity to appreciate how constructive dialogue, cooperation and trust formation between each other can be, and how the whole community can benefit from it. An important component of the project was also the presentation of the idea of social entrepreneurship to the participants and the emphasis that businesses can significantly help the residents of the community in addition to personal profit. The gained knowledge gave the participants the opportunity to develop their business plans, of which the four projects that received the highest scores from independent experts were financed by "Eurasia" CPO and Solidarity Fund PL with AMD equivalent to 1,500 euros. As a result of the project: - A playground was built next to one of the guest house businesses in Dsegh; -The other participant of the project founded a teahouse in Dsegh; - A souvenir shop was opened in Debed; - The development of poultry breeding was promoted in Chkalov settlement. The Project on “Strengthening local self-governmental leadership towards improving social entrepreneurship in rural regions of RA” is being implemented by “Eurasia” CPO with the support of Solidarity Fund PL. The project is funded by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of Poland's development cooperation.
